▮terms
last updated: 2026-05-20
This is a personal cryptography-education project. The site and the clips it points to are free to watch, share, and reference. Don't use them as legal, security, or compliance advice for your actual systems. Don't claim the content as your own.
By visiting gatekeypairs.com or watching the videos this site links to, you accept these terms. If you don't, the right move is to close the tab — there's no account, login, or purchase involved.
Short-form video clips (typically 25–35 seconds) about cryptography topics relevant to working software engineers. Clips are produced with help from AI tools (script generation, text-to-speech, captioning, b-roll selection) and human-reviewed before publication. Each clip on TikTok is labeled as AI-generated content per TikTok's policy.
The clips aim for accuracy but are simplifications by design. A 30-second explanation can't replace the corresponding RFC, the standards document, or the source code of the tool you're operating. Treat the clips as a starting point, not the final word.
You may:
- Watch and re-watch any clip on its native platform (TikTok).
- Share clip links to colleagues, classes, study groups, conference talks, internal wikis, etc.
- Quote a clip in your own writing, with credit and a link back.
- Use clips as discussion-starters in education or training settings.
You may not:
- Re-upload the clips as your own content on any platform.
- Strip captions, intro/outro, or attribution from the video.
- Use the clips or this site's content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine-learning models, in whole or in part, without prior written permission.
- Imply endorsement, partnership, or affiliation with any vendor, employer, or organization based on a clip's content.
The site and the clips are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind — not for accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, currency, completeness, or compatibility with whatever you're building. Cryptography is an adversarial field with active standards bodies; what's correct today may be deprecated next year. Verify before you ship.
Nothing here is legal advice, regulatory advice, security advice, or financial advice. If you're making a load-bearing decision (key length, algorithm selection, trust model), consult the relevant standards (NIST, IETF, ENISA) and, where stakes warrant it, a security engineer.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator of this site is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site or the clips, including but not limited to operational incidents, security breaches, compliance findings, or business losses.
This site links to TikTok and other third parties. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content, policies, or availability.
These terms can change. The date at the top of this page will move when they do. Material changes get a one-line summary in this section for at least 30 days.
